Thanksgiving Day Parade pictures
Here they are! More pictures taken by Chris from the 2012 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade:

This is one of the first spots we tried for viewing the parade, located on Central Park West in Central Park. We had tried viewing from across the street one year (it was AMAZING – we got lucky and had a great spot that year), but this year we thought it would be much easier in the park, as we had seen so many people do before.
Not quite so easy this time.
Many blockades and fences were up to keep people corralled and to stop them from scaling the wall and getting close enough (probably because of these) to see the parade:

Those lucky people must have had tickets or something to get such a cushy (well, hard because they were metal benches) spot. We definitely need to look into that.

That’s okay. The balloons were high enough to see them pretty well (plus a float or two):
